Retro Tee shirts news: Stars line up for Haiti telethon

Madonna, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake – the list of stars supporting the Haiti telethon is getting pretty long.

The event is going to kick off later today (January 22nd) and will run for mammoth ten days!

In a global effort that is reminiscent of the Live Aid concert of the 1980s, which inspired a number of retro Tee shirts, performances are going to be held all over the world.

Hollywood A-lister George Clooney stepped up to organise the event and has also rounded up some actors to strut their stuff.

Fellow Ocean's 11 stars Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and Matt Damon will join Clooney, as will Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep and Leonardo DiCaprio.

If you're not in the States, where it's on all the major networks, but want to see what delights the stars have in store, Hope for Haiti Now will be broadcast live to global audiences through MTV and online.

The Los Angeles Times has reported that it will be the most widely distributed telethon ever, with executive producer Joel Gallen commenting that the event will be difficult to miss.
