Celebrate Scouting for Girls' number one with new band T-shirt

06/04/2010

London-based pop trio Scouting for Girls are this morning (April 6th) celebrating their first number one single.

This Ain't a Love Song currently tops the charts after knocking Lady Gaga's Telephone from the prized spot after two weeks - and fans may choose to purchase a new bandT-shirt in recognition of the achievement.

The single is the first from the band's new album Everybody Wants To Be On TV - and with the promise of more to follow, a T-shirt could be a shrewd investment.

Scouting for Girls is made up of frontman Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Peter Ellard.

Their previous highest-placed single in the UK chart was She's So Lovely which reached number seven in 2007, while the track Heartbeat was nominated for Best British Single at the 2009 Brit Awards.

In this week's album chart, Boyzone remain in top spot with Brother, which is also keeping Lady Gaga in second place.
