Guns N' Roses will not be allowed to break the noise curfew when they play at Reading Festival, according to the festival boss.
NME reports that Melvin Benn, the man in charge of the Reading and Leeds events this year, has been told by police and local authorities that the rule stating no music can be played after 23:30 BST at Reading must be adhered to.
The group were allowed to play late after going on stage more than an hour behind their scheduled start time eight years ago at Leeds.
However, speaking to the magazine, Mr Benn said a repeat at this year's festival - taking place this weekend - is "just not an option".
"The truth is that I can't allow the performance to go on beyond [the curfew] - it's just that simple," he added.
Earlier this month, a hoaxer hacked Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose's Twitter account, posting a message saying that all UK tour dates were cancelled.
