Paul Weller has admitted he is uncertain a collaboration with Noel Gallagher that saw the ex-Oasis man on drums will make the cut for his next album.
He did compliment Gallagher though, telling NME the Mancunian is "a good all-round musician".
The mod legend stated the follow-up to this year's Wake Up The Nation will contain some "avant-garde moments".
"I haven't finished the record, I've started it, done eight or nine tracks, maybe a few more than that," he told the magazine.
Weller added the recording is going the right way, but confessed he was unsure when it would be finished as he is on tour from now to December.
