Eminem and 50 Cent team up for AMA performance

US rap stars Eminem and 50 Cent shared the stage at the American Music Awards (AMAs) on Sunday (November 22nd).

According to MTV.com, Eminem appeared "looking very much like a prizefighter ready to deliver a knockout" and drove the crowd into a frenzy when he welcomed a special guest onto the stage.

Having released his new album Before I Self Destruct earlier this month, 50 Cent joined the artist also known as Slim Shady to perform Crack a Bottle, which appeared on Eminem's sixth studio effort Relapse earlier this year.

The two rappers, who have both inspired numerous hip hop Tee shirt designs, are also expected to collaborate on Detox, the long-awaited and frequently-delayed new album from Dr Dre.

Other performers at the AMAs included Jennifer Lopez, who was briefly embarrassed after taking a tumble while singing her new single Louboutins.

Country pop starlet Taylor Swift took home five awards at the ceremony, including artist of the year, while Jay-Z was named favourite male artist in the rap/hip hop category.
