Metal fans everywhere will no doubt be pleased to hear the news that Iron Maiden have finished recording for their latest offering.
Producer Kevin Shirley updated his blog at the end of last week, saying: "All the music recording is done! There's still work to do but the band portion is complete and in the can, so to speak."

The British rock legends have released 14 albums over the past 20 years or so, with this set to be their 15th studio title.

Following a mammoth tour in 2009, Iron Maiden have announced only five live dates for later this year.
They're set to appear at the Sonisphere Festival in the UK at the end of July, as well as hitting stages at various festivals around Europe.
