Drag out your Bluetones band T-shirts for new album and tour
17/03/2010
The Bluetones have announced details of their sixth album - A New Athens - and are set for a UK tour to go with it.
If you dance around in your Bluetones band T-shirts to songs like Mudslide and Bluetonic then you'll probably want to book your tickets and pick up a copy of their latest offering.
The guys started their tour last week in Edinburgh and will be travelling the length and breadth of the UK over the next month.
It's what they've described as "a full and proper, root and branch UK tour". Some of the venues are quite small and intimate which could provide fans with a treat.
The new album features 11 new tracks from the Hounslow boys, who commented that they're glad to be back after a break.
A statement on their website said: "We have all emerged from our hiatus keener and more determined than ever to save the world through music."
But we're still waiting for an official release date for the album, saving the world will just have to be put on hold a little while then...
