Get the retro T-shirts ready as Wolverine heads to Japan

X-Men fans everywhere will probably be wondering when we're going to see some more of our favourite lycra-clad heroes and now there've been rumblings about the latest Wolverine flick.

According to Roger Friedman at Showbiz 411, the next instalment in the series will be shot in Japan in January next year.

With a screenplay penned by Christopher McQuarrie of Usual Suspects fame, we could be in for something good.

The guys over at Total Film explained that it's based on the 80s comic mini-series by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller, but if Friedman is to be believed, then there'll be some differences that fans of the original will probably spot.

Most notably, that Wolverine's love interest is said to be a Japanese actress rather than the daughter of a corrupt lord.

Wolverine T-shirts will probably still prove popular with the die-hard fans and Hugh Jackman's character might even win over some new supporters along the way.

But there's no word on which - or if any - other X-Men will appear in this latest movie.

We'll just have to wait and see, but whatever the outcome, it's likely to be action-packed.
