New album on the horizon for The Strokes

26/04/2011

Indie favourites The Strokes are back in the studio and working on a new album, it has been reported.

According to NME, the band have now begun working on another new album, even though they only released their fourth work, Angles, a month ago, which could soon see then once again playing to fans with retro t-shirts.

Stroke's bassist Nikolai Fraiture wrote on his Twitter account that the band are "super excited" and headed to the studio yesterday (April 25th) to throw around some new ideas. He also promised to keep fans updated with any new album news.

Meanwhile, those who own retro t-shirts featuring rock band Paramore may be interested to hear ex-guitarist Josh Farro's reasons for quitting the group last year.

According to an interview with Common Revolt quoted by NME, the guitarist felt that some of Paramore's lyrics "contradicted" his Christian beliefs.

It was widely reported that the band had issues among members when their last album was recorded.ADNFCR-2788-ID-800510843-ADNFCR
