If you managed to catch Mock The Week on July 1st, you may have spotted a familiar T-shirt.
Ed Byrne sported an OCP T-shirt inspired by the film Robocop on the programme earlier this month. Fans of the film will know, of course, that OCP stands for Omni Consumer Products, the fictional corporation that used the remains of Alex J Murphy to create Robocop.
If you are after a Robocop-inspired T-shirt of your very own, why not check out 8ball.co.uk for a 100 per cent cotton garment featuring a distressed print of the OCP logo. These retro T-shirts come in a choice of blue or black and are available in sizes from small to XXL.
Techland reported this week that a proposed reboot of the Robocop franchise has been shelved by MGM.
A film studio insider at Comic-Con 2010 commented to Moviehole that the remake was "one of the first casualties" of the studio's current financial troubles.
The new Robocop was originally scheduled for release later this year, but was then pushed back to 2011 before being scrapped.
