A set of John Lennon's fingerprints have been seized by the Federal Bureau Of Investigation (FBI) from a memorabilia dealer in New York.
The rare item was set to be auctioned with a minimum bid set at $100,000 (£63,000).
Although fans of the former Beatles man will no longer be able to get their hands on the item they could still pick up a T-shirt design from the As Worn By John Lennon collection here at 8ball.co.uk.
The iconic New York City T-shirt might be the ideal choice for those wanting to show their love of the star who would have been 70 tomorrow (October 9th).
An FBI official told BBC News they believed the card was government property and would be looking into how it ended up in the dealer's possession.
Lennon was under investigation by the authority until the early 1970s, due in part to his anti-war activities.
