Marvel t-shirt
Captain America
25/02/2010
Captain America is the latest comic book hero to get the big screen treatment and hopefully we should know who'll be squeezing into the red, white and blue spandex suit pretty soon.
Heat Vision blog revealed that screen tests for the role are taking place this week, with seven actors in the mix.
The list reads: John Krasinski, Michael Cassidy, Patrick Flueger, Scott Porter, Wilson Bethel, Mike Vogel and Chace Crawford.
Apparently Marvel is seeking someone "on the youngish side who can play rugged".
If none of the boys fit the bill, the studio will have to go back to the drawing board and start over.
Whoever it is, people with Captain America T-shirts in their closets will probably be getting excited about the movie, which is due for release next year.
Directed by Joe Johnston, the movie is set to stick to the comic's World War II roots, with the story based around the superhero's creation and subsequent transformation into the First Avenger.
