Get band T-shirts at the ready to support potential ABBA reunion
29/03/2010
ABBA fans may wish to dig out their band T-shirts in the hope that it will spur one of the world's most famous groups into a reunion.
Despite vowing in 2008 that the band would never perform on stage together again, in a recent interview with the Times Benny Andersson hinted that an ABBA reunion could be on the cards.
After splitting in 1982, Andersson was asked whether they would ever consider taking part in a one-off performance.
"Yeah, why not," he replied. "I don't know if the girls sing anything any more though I know Frida has been in the studio. It's not a bad idea, actually."
If ABBA were to re-form, it would not be the first time an iconic band have joined together after years of separation.
All five members of Take That performed together for the first time in 15 years at the Children in Need gig at London's Albert Hall back in November 2009.
Similarly, the Spice Girls went on a reunion tour of North America and Europe in 2007, performing together for the first time since 1999.
