Soul singer Adele has finally been knocked off the top spot in the album charts, with Foo Fighters reaching the summit with Wasting Light.
The London singer had been at number one with her LP entitled 21 for a record-breaking 11 weeks, but that honour now belongs to the US rockers.
Foo Fighters, the group led by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, have received all sorts of praise from critics for Wasting Light, their seventh studio album.
Grohl is often described as the nicest man in rock'n'roll, so both fans and peers are sure to be pleased for the band.
While Adele will no doubt be disappointed that her latest album is no longer top of the charts, it only went down to number two and her debut 19 is in third so she is hardly an artist in decline.
Celebrate the success of Grohl's newest record with a Foo Fighters music t-shirt from 8ball.co.uk.
