Actress Meera Syal has spoken of how she was "thrilled" to land a role in this week's episode of Doctor Who.
Syal said it is one of the programmes that she has always wanted to appear on - with her wish coming true when she was handed the part of geologist Dr Nasreen Choudhry.
According to a report by Digital Spy, the star told What's On TV: "I told my agent I'd do anything to be in it. It's one of the things I had to do. I was chuffed I got to go in the Tardis. Not everyone does."
She goes on to label the Silurians, who make another appearance in this week's show, creepy.
And whether fans of the show are most anticipating Syal's debut with the Doctor or the Silurians' return, one thing they may agree on is that the best way to watch the programme is to do so wearing a Doctor Who cool T-shirt.
Doctor Who airs on BBC One on Saturday (May 22nd).
