There are quite a few comic book movies being bandied about at the moment – we had the announcement of a Spider-Man prequel and then Captain America jumped on the big-screen bandwagon.
But this latest gossip comes from the Green Lantern film, which already has a strong cast.
Tim Robbins will join Ryan Reynolds, Peter Sarsgaard and Blake Lively on set when the picture starts shooting in March, a Hollywood blog has revealed.
According to Heat Vision, the Shawshank star will play Senator Hammond, father of the movie's villain, Dr Hector Hammond - played by Sarsgaard.
Of course, Reynolds is the hero Green Lantern and, not surprisingly, Lively will take on the role of his love interest.
For anyone who's not sure of the plot, here it is in a nutshell. Green Lantern is a test pilot who develops super powers after being given a mystical ring - he's also a member of an intergalactic society that has to keep peace in the universe.
Villain Dr Hammond gets psychic powers from a meteorite and goes mad - cue lots of action in the usual comic-book style.
Add in a few movie Tshirts featuring the characters and there's the next comic book adaptation for the big screen.
Classic anime Akira is heading towards a big screen outing with a real-life cast.
Now could be the best time to don a political T-shirt in public.
Doctor Who will have a special guest star this week - actress Meera Syal.
