Support Foo Fighters' return to the studio with vintage T-shirts

American rockers Foo Fighters are set to return to the recording studio in September.

Dave Grohl told the BBC of the plans at the Independent Spirit Awards in LA this weekend.

Fans have been waiting for the latest offering from the band for almost three years since their last studio album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace was released in September 2007.

But you might want to wait a bit before rushing out to buy new Foo Fighters T-shirts because they've only just started writing and aren't intending to record until September.

Grohl has been pretty busy with his other pet project, Them Crooked Vultures, recently and commented that "life is full of music".

Let's hope they can come out with some more iconic tunes for us to jump around to.

Since starting out in 1995, Foo Fighters have released eight albums, including a greatest hits record and have given us some classic rock songs like Monkeywrench and Everlong.
