Noel Gallagher 'working on solo material'

Noel Gallagher is currently working on solo material in the US, according to a fellow musician.

You Me At Six frontman Josh Franceschi revealed in a post on his Twitter page that the ex-Oasis star was playing tracks in the same Los Angeles recording studio as his own band.

"Can hear Noel from Oasis blasting his new tunes from the studio next door. Absolutely mental," he wrote.

Franceschi's alternative rock outfit, whose two albums are Take Off Your Colours and Hold Me Down, are recording their third effort in the US city.

In an interview with Dave Berry on Xfm last week, Liam Gallagher claimed his brother Noel has "definitely" finished writing his own album and joked that his current Beady Eye bandmates Gem Archer and Andy Bell featured on it.
