Combine tailored shorts with cool T-shirt for summer look

A menswear expert has spoken about what he expects to be the hottest trends this summer, with tailored shorts and striped T-shirts top of the list.

David Waters, journalist and fashion guru, said men of all ages are becoming more conscious about their body and the way they look.

Tailored shorts could be the ideal accompaniment to top-half attire through the warmest months.

For example, some guys may choose to combine a pair with a music T-shirt as they head to a festival or concert, while others could team up a cool T-shirt and the shorts to unwind with friends.

But Mr Waters had a word of warning for anybody thinking of slipping into a fashionable outfit in the coming months.

He noted: "In effect men, if they are going to wear these more fashionable clothes, are going to have to think about how their body looks and probably think about going to the gym."

Bands touring this year that could feature on a T-shirt include KISS and Black Sabbath.
