Motorhead to release compilation album

A new Motorhead compilation album will be released in the UK on October 18th.

Aces Up My Sleeve - The Collection will feature 20 tracks, including live versions of Motorhead and Iron Horse/Born to Lose.

It coincides with the 35th anniversary of the formation of the band, which fans can also mark by picking up one of the Motorhead T-shirts available at 8ball.co.uk.

The latest compilation spans a ten-year period and Michael Wright, writing for Gibson, observed: "The loudest, deadliest band in the world will now have a greatest hits collection worthy of their hard-hitting legacy."

 A campaign to erect a statue of Motorhead's Lemmy was recently launched by fans in Stoke-on-Trent, as the rock icon was born in nearby Burslem.

The enthusiasts also want to see Slash of Guns N' Roses - who grew up in Stoke - recognised in the same way, as they believe the honour would celebrate their contributions to the music world, as well as inspire future generations.
