Vintage Tee shirts at the ready as Paul McCartney announces new UK dates

Sir Paul McCartney has announced that he will play a host of venues in the UK during the summer.

According to his official website, Sir Paul will be stepping out on stage at five British locations between June 12th and June 27th.

Vintage Beatles and Paul McCartney Tee shirts will no doubt dominate among the crowds.

Among the dates selected are two festival appearances, one on the Isle of Wight on June 13th and the other at the Hard Rock Calling festival in London, which will round off his UK shows on June 27th.

The music icon will be sharing the stage with the likes of the Courteeners, the Editors and Noah and the Whale at the seaside music event, while his stint in the capital will see him join fellow music veterans Pearl Jam at the Hard Rock Calling festival.

In between, he's travelling to Glasgow, Cardiff and Dublin to play three stadium gigs, all under the banner of his Up and Coming tour.

But anyone who thinks they're just in for renditions of Beatles tracks would be wrong, he'll be playing music from Wings as well as treating audiences to some of his solo releases of the past few years.

He said that he's "really excited" about playing in front of a home crowd and his fans will be out in force to support him.
