by 8Ball T Shirts February 15, 2013 0 Comments

With his latest movie, Django Unchained, gaining no less than five Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay, it is safe to say that Quentin Tarantino is back to his best. There have been a few wobbles in recent years, since the glory days of Reservoir Dogs and Pulp fiction, but clearly the master of twisted humour and even more twisted plots has still got what it takes to shock and entertain us.

Here are our top ten best Quentin Tarantino quotes, each chosen for the way it sums up the whole film in a just a few lines.

Reservoir Dogs (1992)

Marvin (Kirk Baltz): I already told you I don’t know anything about any f*****g setup; you can torture me all you want.

Mr. Blonde (Michael Madsen): Torture you? That’s a good idea. I like that.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Jules (Samuel L. Jackson): I do love the taste of a good burger. Mm-mm-mm. You know what they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese in France?

Brett (Frank Whaley): No.

Jules: Tell ’em, Vincent.

Vincent: A Royale with cheese.

Jules: A Royale with cheese! You know why they call it that?

Brett: Because of the metric system?

Jules: Check out the big brain on Brett!

Natural Born Killers (1994)

Dr. Emil Reingold (Steven Wright): Mickey and Mallory know the difference between right and wrong; they just don’t give a damn.

From Dusk till Dawn (1996)

Seth (George Clooney): Peachy, Kate. The world’s my oyster, except for the fact that I just rammed a wooden stake in my brother’s heart because he turned into a vampire, even though I don’t believe in vampires. Aside from that unfortunate business, everything’s hunky-dory.

Jackie Brown (1997)

Jackie Brown (Pam Grier): Shut your raggedy-ass up, and sit the f**k down!

Sin City (2005)

Marv (Mickey Rourke): I love hitmen. No matter what you do to them, you don’t feel bad.

Death Proof (2007)

Pam (Rose McGowan): [talking about Mike’s car] Are you sure it’s safe?

Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell): It’s better than safe. It’s death proof.

Inglorious Basterds (2009)

Lt. Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt): You probably heard we ain’t in the prisoner-takin’ business; we in the killin’ Nazi business. And cousin, business is a-boomin’.
