6 Retro 90’s Throwback T-Shirts 8Ball

Retro is a word that refers to things that are older than 20 years but younger than 40 years. In fact, if it was in reference to a car they would be considered ‘classics’. They say that fashion repeats itself approximately every 25 years, so here are 6 retro 90’s T-Shirts that are older than ‘old’, but younger than ‘antiques’.

1. Rocko’s Modern Life

Rocko’s Modern Life was an animated TV series on Nickelodeon that ran for 4 seasons in the mid-90’s. It centered around a wallaby named Rocko and featured quite a bit of adult humour. This T-Shirt pays tribute to Conglom-O with their slogan ‘We Own You’. And it is available in 4 colors.

2. Metal Gear Solid

This shirt is a shout out to the game over screen of popular video game series Metal Gear with a graphic of Snake’s codec com-device with the ending screams ‘Snake? Snake? SNAAAAAAKE!’ For obvious reasons, this shirt only comes in black because you can’t be a super stealthy super soldier in orange. Also available in Men’s fit.

3. Quantum Leap

In Quantum Leap Scott Bakula played a physicist who leaps through time and into the bodies of people in that time period to correct historical mistakes. At the end of every episode he says ‘Oh boy’ when finding himself in another person. The graphic on this shirt is reminiscent of Shepard Fairey’s ‘Obey’ brand, and comes in 4 colors.

4. Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Like how the cow and the chicken come together even though they've never met. It's like Sleepless in Seattle if Meg and Tom were, like, minced.’

— Buffy Summers in Season 6 Episode 12

Spoiler alert! The doublemeat patty is made of vegetables and the shirt is not.

5. Dungeon Crawlers

Delightfully ambiguous in design, this shirt can be worn to represent any game in the era of dungeon exploration games. Select Your Weapon, and size, and color, and gear up for a retro dungeon adventure full of excitement and amazingly terrible graphics.

There were a lot of things in the 90’s that were truly iconic, such as these 6 t-shirts. It was the age of Rugrats, and Furbies, and the beginning of Harry potter. Everything was neon, and hypercolor. It was beautiful and occasionally hard on the eyes.

All of these shirts are WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) Certified, REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals) compliant, and Fair Labor Association accredited.
